A Crash Course in Ayurvedic Therapy
Ayurveda is an ancient science. It is not just about diagnosing people of their illnesses. It is about leading a healthy and balanced life in mental, physical and divine level. It explains how the air we breathe, the food we eat, the air that we breathe, freshness of nature, fragrance of flowers, beauty of nature, all affect our lives.
Ayurveda is Indian holistic science of dealing with ailments of human body. It is based on the universal law of balancing five elements which are fire, air, earth, ether and water. These five elements make the physical body. Health problems such as low back pain affect the strength and flexibility of spine causing pain, when one of the above stated goes out of balance.
As per Ayurveda, treatment of all sorts of liver ailments concentrates on Pitta dosha and not on liver. Imbalances of Agni and pitta give birth to different types of liver ailments. Ojus is affected too. The Pachaka Pitta is based on liver; therefore all the ailments of liver are treated simultaneously with the treatment of Pachaka Pitta.
Water – A Fluid Essense
Aqua Spiritus
There were two fish swimming along and they happen to meet an older and wiser fish swimming the other way who nods at them and says “Good morning boys, how’s the water?” The two young fish swim on a bit and eventually one of them looks at the other one and says “What the Hell is water?” I heard this story from a speech given by David Foster Wallace (RIP) who went on to express that it’s usually the most obvious and important realities that are the hardest or unstylish things talk about.
How important is water? Water is all around us and is the life blood for all forms of life on this earth. It’s a chemical substance with the formula H2O. In pure form, water is clear, colorless and tasteless. A water molecule contains one Oxygen atom and two Hydrogen atoms. They both share electrons in a covalent bonding (a balance of attracting and repelling forces between atoms), but enough about the chemistry.
Why People Use Plastic Bags in Shopping
Because the quality of life and the population are growing up every day, the need of shopping is growing up as a forced effect.
We are now using many kinds of material in packaging shopping stuff such as paper, fabric, plastic, etc… But the main solution for packaging shopping stuff is plastic bags because of the following reasons:
The reason why we should not choose paper bags is that we cannot use too much paper. Paper is from trees, and cutting down trees to make paper is destroying environment. Furthermore, paper bags cannot keep heavy stuff, and it is very easy to be destroyed by water. We should only choose paper bags in case we need solid bags to pack light weight, dry and soft stuff. Furthermore, using paper bags is not an economical way because we rarely and almost cannot recycle paper bags.
The reason why we should not choose fabric bags is that fabric is too expensive to use in this purpose. Fabric is not stable in shape and size, so the fabric bag is not nice anymore when we put too much stuff in. Using fabric is also not good for the environment because fabric is not easy to be decomposed, and we cannot reuse and recycle them so many times. Moreover, like paper, fabric is easy to be damaged by water, and bad news is most shopping stuffs contain water.
