Water – A Fluid Essense
Aqua Spiritus
There were two fish swimming along and they happen to meet an older and wiser fish swimming the other way who nods at them and says “Good morning boys, how’s the water?” The two young fish swim on a bit and eventually one of them looks at the other one and says “What the Hell is water?” I heard this story from a speech given by David Foster Wallace (RIP) who went on to express that it’s usually the most obvious and important realities that are the hardest or unstylish things talk about.
How important is water? Water is all around us and is the life blood for all forms of life on this earth. It’s a chemical substance with the formula H2O. In pure form, water is clear, colorless and tasteless. A water molecule contains one Oxygen atom and two Hydrogen atoms. They both share electrons in a covalent bonding (a balance of attracting and repelling forces between atoms), but enough about the chemistry.
Bone Marrow Transplant – Treating the Incurable
Ever since the medical science achieved a major landmark with the first successful bone marrow transplant in the year 1968, the treatment has emerged as a revolutionary medical procedure that can be used to treat many diseases which were widely perceived to be incurable. This breakthrough medical procedure is now used to treat several life threatening diseases such as aplastic anemia, leukemia, breast cancer, immune deficiency disorders, among many others.
However, even though BMTs are now able to cure a considerable number of people every year who are suffering from malignant and non malignant diseases, there are still many patients who are not able to receive this treatment for lack of a compatible bone marrow donor.
What is Bone Marrow Transplant?
The spongy or flexible tissue that is present in the interior of bones is known as bone marrow. It is present in the large size bones, such as breast bone, hips and spine where it produces new blood cells. The blood cells include white blood cells (leukocytes), platelets and the red blood cells (erythrocytes).
Popular Ways To Thicken Your Hair Naturally
Hair loss is a major side effect of the stressful life we all lead these days. First of all, we should appreciate the fact that enhancing your body’s overall health will automatically strengthen and thicken your hair.
Jogging or aerobics is known to be very effective in preventing hair loss and thus thickening hair. Jogging outdoors three to four times a week is ideal for a healthy body and soul. Outdoor jogging is the best due to the fresh air you breathe in. Aerobics focuses on increasing blood circulation which helps a lot in hair growth and re-growth.
Niacin is a naturally occurring vitamin in the human body, which promotes blood circulation towards the edges of the body, including your scalp. This powerful vitamin creates a flush effect in the body thus forcing blood to enter the capillaries present in the skin and scalp, which gives you a warm feeling. This increased blood circulation is the key to re-grow and thicken hair. Niacin also detoxifies your scalp from plaque that has been accumulated in the capillaries. This allows liberal blood circulation to your skin and scalp, which helps thicken hair.
